The original brass pipe we all know and love, our Proto Pipe Classic (or "Deluxe") was designed by Phil Jergenson in the late 60's. It has a permanent screen and a cover and includes a playing card, a storage box and a tar trap.

CLEAN PIPE:
Each prototype pipe has a permanent screen in a solid brass bowl. Playing cards help you remove resin and debris from the bowl when the screen becomes clogged. You can then use olive oil and a polishing cloth to clean the entire pipe.
